Gluten Free, Corn Free, Beet-Dyed Play Dough

Tasting everything is a sure way to get your mommy to find a better alternative to playdough! I love this recipe! The only drawback is that I think she likes the flavor!

Ingredients:

1 cup of Gluten Free flour

1/2 cup to 1 1/2 cups of Tapioca flour (keep adding until the dough is no longer sticky and keep on kneading! You may need even more!)

1/2 cup of Himalayan Salt

1 Tablespoon of Cream of Tartar

1/4 cup of Avocado Oil (you may want to add more!) The dough does not end up being oily, the Tapioca starch helps with that!

1 cup of boiled beet water

Directions:

Boil one large beet. Cut it into cubes and let it boil in a small pot with 4 cups of water. Let it boil until it reduces to about 1 cup and let it sit in the beets for a few hours. Strain the beets. Heat up the beet juice and mix the salt into the hot beet juice so that it dissolves easily. Set aside and in a mixing bowl add all dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the beet juice. Add avocado oil and stir. Put the dough onto a cutting board and knead. If the dough is sticky, add more starch, if it is too dry, add more water.
