Memory can be a difficult muscle to strengthen. It takes dedicated time and effort. But with Lynne Kelly’s book, Memory Craft, it’s no longer a task.

We started a memory palace a few days ago! It will be the home of all the countries in the world! It will also be an anchor for great contributions each country has helped humanity with. By using songs, stories and movement, we will remember important facts about each country. Number 1 is at our front door. There we have placed pictures of China. It is the most populated so that is where we start!

I wrote a song to the tune of “If you’re happy and you know it”

Red is the color of good luck,

And dragons can help you when you are stuck,

Lanterns are for wishes and there are so many yummy dishes,

You can get there in an airplane, not a truck!

Chinese discovered millet is yummy,

And invented the compass so they knew where they were going,

They were the first to fly a kite, and use fireworks to light up the sky,

And the first to make paper money!

Beijing is the capital of China,

1.4 Billion people live there,

While Mandarin is in the air,

Tao te Ching helps them all share

And giant pandas like to cuddle!
